I have some clients who wish to be notified when their project has reached a set number of hours and others who are billed for their project in increments, thereby needing to track when specific hourly checkpoints are met. Having a feature that you could set a notification (or multiple) to the task/project owner for when reaching a specified number of hours would help to know when that checkpoint is reached rather than surpassed as most times I'm not looking at an individual customers hours on a daily basis (or even weekly typically).
Example: Client wants to be notified each time they hit 5 hours for task request completion in order to budget for payment of work. Typically the client has between 5-10 hours per month (billing period). This allows for notification to the task/project owner to tell the client their time has been reached for the month and decide if the task should be completed or wait until the following month.
Example: Client is billed at a project rate split between 4 payments. The estimated time for the project is 75 hours. Initial payment is made before the project starts and the following payments are due at 25 hours, 50 hours, and at project completion. Notifications to the project owner to process billing for those increments would allow for streamlined billing.
For our company can be intersting to add a filter in the report to show how many minutes has been filled in by desktop app and how many minutes(hh:mm:ss) has been filled manually or by Web Application.
Itd be great if when selecting a project with task/subtasks, it forced you to select a task/subtask. Right now, you can select a project with tasks/subtasks, and it lets you just select the project. If it were to force you to select a task/subtask, itd be much easier and keep for entry errors happening.
Example:
Project - Making Widgets
Task - Blue Widget, Red Widget, Yellow Widget
Subtask - Gluing, Wrapping, Boxing.
When you pick Making widgets, you're REQUIRED to pick red blue or yellow, then you're REQUIRED to pick gluing, wrapping, boxing
for some projects, there is an output of that project ie making widgets. Right now I just know how long I spent on creating those widgets, not how many were made during that time. Itd be great if there was an additional field where output could be put. My suggestion would be adding 2 additional fields: one for the output and one for how that output is measured ( widgets, cups, eaches, boxes, etc). So Id be able to select a project - Making Widgets, Task - Blue widgets, SubTask - Putting on Wheels, OUTPUT - 300, MEASUREMENT - Cases.
Itd be an amazing help to be able to spot pinch points in the project.
A competitor has this feature. I work remotely (different region) from my client and if there is a way for the app to select a specific time zone so it doesn't get confusing for everyonem that would be great.
Possibility to change category based on the user or department. For example: Facebook for 99% of users is a social media platform, but for the PR/Marketing Dept - it's their basic tool.
When one attempts to move a time entry, I see the alert message:
It is not allowed to move activities or merge entries while autocomplete mode is enabled due to incorrect values in duration and from-to. You can disable it in upper right corner by clicking gear icon.
I really think you should name the exact path to, and the name of exactly which option you are talking out. I searched for 10m and still didn't see any option called "autocomplete mode." Since moving a timeslice now and then might be helpful (esp if you don't have auto-sorting as per my previous suggestion) maybe making this option more accessible (like right on the timesheet as a checkbox) might be good.
I guess if you implement automated timeslice sorting (upon entering a work time period in the past) you can make all this go away.
I use this for school. I wish there were more appropriate categories and activities, and that they were not neutral. I am a full time student and do not work.
Hi,
It would be great if we could have support for multiple clients. We bill our customers and we would like to have reports grouped by customers. A project can also be shared between customers. For instance, "Tech Support". Every customer has this "project".
It could be very helpful if it was possible to approve individual time records in timesheet (with a label informing who did the approval).
Reason: in a flexible organisation model, where there are several task groups and some of the employees might perform e.g. two different tasks each for different task group, it is unconfortable for those task groups' leaders to synchronize their timesheet approvals: they have to agree on who will perform the approval and whether the time recorded in their project is approved by them or not. This is an unnecessary additional work to be done.
This feature would be even better if it was available also in the week view which provides more clarity.
We need to have more options for classifying our tasks. Acute challenge is that the two options billable / non-billable are not enough for our company.
There are all other ways to over come language setting but
We will be delighted if you could add on a Japanese language setting.

Anyway for everything else your UI's and all are beautifully designed !
Give us a possibility to integrate with a custom Gitlab server. I am waiting for this feature for a year but no progress. Problem is% i Can't insert me domain address. Integration is possible only with Gitlab hosted server. Please add a flexibility. Thank you!
Problem 1: Once a task has been started and selected via the "Browse Tasks"-button, it is not possible to navigate back. The only way to get back to the app's home page is to force quit the app.
Also, it is no longer possible to exit the browser as there is no exit button. The same applies if you press the "Create task" button in vain, you have to create a task or force quit the app. Otherwise, you get stuck.
Problem 2:
A project can be a task in the PC app as well as on the smartphone, with or without a subtask.
As soon as I have a project with multiple tasks on the Watch, the project can no longer be used as a task.
If I create a report involving 5-6 teammates, collating data from 10 different projects from a list of 200, for a specific time frame, I'd like to be able to save and reload my search parameters. And then, to be able to modify the parameters to add new people, change dates, etc.
When clicking the "$" button to indicate whether tracked time counts as billable only changes the color of the icon. It would be a lot more visible/clear/accessible if there was a background, say a round green circle when time is selected as billable and, a greyed out(?) background for the icon.
Admin could receive a notification if an employee has logged lesser than the expected working hours. For ex: if the limit is 4 hours, and an employee logged only 2 hr in a day, the admin needs to notified of this.
Pomodoro & MS Outlook Calendar Integration suggestion Accepted
It would be great if you had a pomodoro timer add-on. Also, it would be nice if you had an integration with MS tasks and calendar.

Apply a default time zone regardless of my computer system's time settings suggestion
A competitor has this feature. I work remotely (different region) from my client and if there is a way for the app to select a specific time zone so it doesn't get confusing for everyonem that would be great.
Exceptions suggestion
Possibility to change category based on the user or department. For example: Facebook for 99% of users is a social media platform, but for the PR/Marketing Dept - it's their basic tool.
The same can said about applications.

Select default for how task is created (Start Timer vs Add Time Entry) suggestion
When adding a new task, I always use the timer. But the default for creating a new task is "Add Time Entry".
Could you add a check box, within a users settings, that sets their desired default for Task Selection to be either "Start Timer" or "Add Time Entry"?
School suggestion
I use this for school. I wish there were more appropriate categories and activities, and that they were not neutral. I am a full time student and do not work.
Multi-client support suggestion

Thanks.
custom category suggestion
Add a custom category to the predefined list of categories just like in rescue time.
Thank you for the idea - I will add this to our feedback list, so we can consider it in future improvements.

Turn a quote into an invoice suggestion
At the moment, there is no way for an accepted quote to become an invoice. I have to start over.

Save reports, to quickly reopen them and allow to modify their parameters suggestion
If I create a report involving 5-6 teammates, collating data from 10 different projects from a list of 200, for a specific time frame, I'd like to be able to save and reload my search parameters. And then, to be able to modify the parameters to add new people, change dates, etc.

Users in multiple groups suggestion
ability to assign a user to multiple groups (someone may split time between multiple groups)?
Shamsi & Persian Calender suggestion
What about adding Jalali Calendar & Persian language?
Also Adding Saturday for beginning day of week?

Email notification to admin if an employee logged less than the required working hours suggestion

Due Dates and Checklists suggestion
It would be great to add a due date to tasks/projects and to add a checklist for a task.
